Patty Penn is the Senior Design Team liaison for Mark’s Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  Patty has been with the company for over 2 1/2 years.  Patty also coordinates the Speedy TV bi-monthly card swaps.  During the day Patty works as a Certified Financial Planner with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and spends her weekends in her craft room creating rubber stamped cards and scrapbook layouts.  Patty thinks of herself as more of a CAS (clean and simple) card maker.  She likes the fact that paper crafting is not an “exact science”, and that you can normally easily fix any of your boo-boos!

Patty makes all of her cards for her clients’ birthdays each month, as well as thank you cards, sympathy cards, get well cards and thinking of you cards to send to clients and friends as appropriate.

Patty also enjoys making card video tutorials.  Patty has been scrapbooking for 20 years and making cards for 15.  She loves the challenge of getting new stamps and creating with the new images. 

Patty is also fortunate enough to have been published several times in “Just Cards” magazine.  One of her goals for 2013 is to submit more cards for publishing.

Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Bonnie R

I'm Bonnie and I am married to my husband Ken, and mother of 2 children; John & Sarah. My love of lighthouses began when my mom used to take my brother and I to the beach by the Pacific Grove lighthouse and has continued after she lost her battle to breast cancer. My love of stamping is a release from the stresses of life, but also a continuation of all my mother taught me about painting, water coloring, and crafting. I was blessed to have a loving and talented mother growing up and I'm blessed to have a talent that I can use to bless others with a smile, a hug, or just to say thanks.

When I first started stamping over 19 years ago, I had thought it would be a great way to personalize Christmas cards and save on money at the same time.  Little did I know how addicting this hobby can be.  Over the last 19 years, I have not only learned a lot of different techniques, but have made many fantastic friends along the way as well as getting published in a few stamping magazines over the years (RubberStamper, RubberStampMaddness, Stampers Sampler). 

I started on the Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company Friends of SpeedyTV Design Team in October 2011,  then moved up to the Senior Design Team in November 2011.  Currently I am the coordinator for the Speedy Fox Featured Designer tutorial.

Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Pam Stang

Hi, my name is Pam and I am originally from Ohio.  I moved to Colorado after marrying Jeff in 1988.  We have two beautiful, smart, talented and athletic girls; Bailey and MacKenna.  

Both of my daughters play soccer.  Bailey is a senior at Metro State Univ. of Denver and plays on 4 indoor soccer teams (2 coed and 2 women’s teams) and aspires to possibly be a grad assistant at MacKenna’s school-Ottawa University. MacKenna tore her ACL this summer...bummer dude! She is redshirting and cheering her team on from the sidelines this fall.

I am passionate about many things and my favorite thing is to watch my girls play soccer.  I also love music, dancing, biking, hiking and camping, too. When not doing something with or for my girls, my biggest passion is paper!  I’ve been making my own greeting cards for as long as I can remember.  I do believe I am a paper hoarder!  I succumbed to stamping in 2006 when I went to a SU! Party and as everyone says, “The rest is history!”

My journey with Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company as a design team member began in April of 2011.  I feel very fortunate to have personally met Lois and some other awesome people in the stamping world.  I feel blessed to be a member of this great company and to be able to share my love of stamping and creativity. I would LOVE to be able to meet everyone some day!

I am a big fan of using fun, different techniques.  Today, I will be illustrating the great technique; magical masking tape.  Just a few fairly simple steps and you have a really beautiful creation.

Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Thrifty Stamper

Thrifty Stamper is a stamper who is interested in saving money. She lives on a fixed income, and can’t afford to waste money on many tools others take for granted.

She writes the Thrifty Stamper Column on MFPSpeedyTV  where she gives tips on how to stamp on a budget. She includes a weekly tutorial.

She also writes the Oriental Themes Column on MFPSpeedyTV where she delves into the Oriental culture and includes beautiful creations along with a link to a tutorial on how she made the card each week.

Thrifty Stamper began as a designer on the Senior Design team last May. She teaches classes at her local scrapbook store. She was recently gifted with her first die cut machine and is exploring more uses for it!

I’m Lois, and I’ve been a member of the Senior Design Team for Mark’s Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company, since Day One, back in 2009.  Like the founder of Mark’s Finest Papers, I live in Florida – although like most Floridians, I was born somewhere else.  I am a transplant from rural Bucks County, Pennsylvania, having moved to Florida in 1968.   I’m a widow; my husband of 41 years died in 2003.  I have three grown children and eight grandchildren – ranging in age from 21 down to 3.   I got into this addictive hobby like many others – I attended a Stampin’ Up workshop at my best friend’s house, knowing absolutely nothing about rubber stamping.  I felt rather overwhelmed by the scope of what the demonstrator showed us, so I bought just one stamp set, a couple of ink pads and some paper.  And, as happens to all of us, the rest is history!!!  That was in 2005.  Here I am seven years later, completely absorbed into the craft of stamps and ink!  I do enjoy learning new techniques.   One of my favorites is masking, both regular and reverse.   I also like doing fun folds, creating a 3-dimensional look.

I am self-taught, although I have taken many classes from some of my favorite artists. I have been teaching rubber stamping around my state for over 15 years and love it. I demo at rubber stamp conventions in my tri-state area whenever possible. At a rubber stamp convention years ago, I was asked to send in a sample for publication while demoing at a convention in New Jersey. I have since had my work published in Vamp Stamp News, The Stamper's Sampler, Somerset Gallery, The Rubber Stamper and Scrap & Stamp Art. 

As of April 2012 I joined the SR design team of Mark’s Finest Papers.  I was on the Creative Crew for the stamp company Lasting Impressions with Panache from June 2005 to 2008 and the design team for Faerie Song Art Stamps in May 2008 to February 2012.  Sunday International is another design team I have had the privilege to be associated. 

My passion right now is creating unique postcards and hand stamped greeting cards.   Other interests are carving my own stamps, bookmaking, beading and discovering new techniques to share.

On a personal note I'm married and live in Connecticut. My art is inspired by the mood I happen to be in at that moment.  When it comes to art I like to say, “what is old is new again! And I like to tell my students, “there are no mistakes in rubber stamping just happy accidents!”.

Hi, my name is Jane and I am so happy to have been asked to do a bio and tutorial for Speedy TV featured SR Design team member.  What a great site and wonderful friends and of course wonderful stamps!!!

I live in a small mining town in the mountains of Utah.  It is considered a “ghost town” but I haven't had the privilege of meeting any ghosts yet!  My hubby and I retired and move here three years ago to enjoy the clean air and non existent traffic.  He is from here and so is all his remaining family.  We have three married daughters, there great husbands, and 5 wonderful grandsons.  We did have another family member our dog Buck but he went over the Rainbow Bridge three weeks ago.  RIP Starbuck.

I was asked last May to be on the Senior Design Team for Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company.  I am also on the Tutorial Time on Speedy TV design team.  What a great experience this has been so far.  The company is so generous with providing the beautiful stamps each month and allowing me to create with them.  I love making cards and have been doing so since 2008.  I love the creative outlet and also it helps pass the long winter months up here.  All my team members are a great bunch of ladies that provide such support for all of us.

Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Pat G

I have been a Senior Design Team member for Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company as well as the Speedy Fox and Friends Blog Challenge for nearly 2 years - with a 1 1/2 years as the Blog Team Coordinator.

I have been stamping since 2005, and my specialty is backgrounds. I could make them by the hours. I also love, love, love techniques and trying new ones out. I have been published a few times in Vamp Stamp News and Just Cards. I love the challenge every month when new stamps come in the mail and creating with them is great fun. I have been a crafty person since I was young, taking part in many craft shows doing Toll painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, cross stitch and now rubber stamping.

On most days I am a Shift Supervisor for Wendy's, and I try to spend my days off stamping and designing in between doing laundry and vacuuming. My husband and I live on a small farm in Central Florida. My youngest child is a student at USF in Tampa, and my 3 older children live up north in Ohio where I am from.

Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Lois B

Hi, Lois here again.   Since I was last here with a technique, I have fully retired from my job as a bookkeeper for not-for-profit organizations – at my last position for almost nineteen years.  Now that I have retired, I am able to spend more time at my addiction . . . er, avocation, stamping and paper-crafting.  I have gone through the gamut of many different hobbies over the years (embroidery, macramé, ceramics, counted cross-stitch), but I think I enjoy the “instant gratification” of card-making more.  

I joined the Mark’s Finest Paper Senior Design Team at its inception and have recently become a member of the Speedy Fox and Friends challenge team.  Last month I began hosting the Thursday Inspiration Challenge on Speedy TV.  If you haven’t seen that challenge, be sure to check it out.   One of my favorite parts of this hobby is learning new techniques, which was one of the reasons I was part of the Tutorial Team on Speedy TV for almost a year.  I hope you enjoy the technique I am presenting today, creating a winter scene using masking fluid.  You can find Lois' newest tutorial here on SpeedyTV and visit her blog here for more inspiration.
