Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Thrifty Stamper

 I am known as the Thrifty Stamper. I have been with Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co for almost a year now. I love to use everyday household items in my crafting. Thriftys the name saving money is my game. I love to go to rummage sales, I find the best stuff for the best price that works great for crafting. I have a weekly column that I write for Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co over on SpeedyTV. You can access my page here. In my column I like to share my crafting ideas and money saving tips for those on a budget. I love to call myself cheapo, because I love to save money and use those great things around the house.

Speedy Fox Featured Designer - Patty P.

Patty Penn is the Senior Design Team liaison for Mark’s Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. Patty has been with the company for over 2 1/2 years. Patty also coordinates the Speedy TV bi-monthly card swaps. During the day Patty works as a Certified Financial Planner with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and spends her weekends in her craft room creating rubber stamped cards and scrapbook layouts. Patty thinks of herself as more of a CAS (clean and simple) card maker. She likes the fact that paper crafting is not an “exact science”, and that you can normally easily fix any of your boo-boos!

Patty makes all of her cards for her clients’ birthdays each month, as well as thank you cards, sympathy, get well cards and thinking of you cards to send to clients and friends as appropriate.

Patty also enjoys making card video tutorials and has been scrapbooking for 20 years and making cards for 15. She loves the challenge of getting new stamps and creating with the new images.

Patty is also fortunate enough to have been published several times in “Just Cards” magazine. One of her goals for 2013 is to submit more cards for publishing. You can visit Patty's blog for more inspiration and see her latest joy fold video tutorial here on SpeedyTV.

Scrapbook Challenge on MFP SpeedyTV

We have a new challenge on MFP SpeedyTV it is a scrapbooking challenge. This is the place to show off those beautiful scrapbooking pages you love to create. We are pleased to announce that Gemiel Matthews will be our Hostess for this challenge.

Hi, I’m Gemiel Matthews, your hostess for the scrapbooking challenge.   I live in Yorktown, VA with my husband Tim and teenage son Tim Jr., who we call TJ.  I started scrapbooking in 1997, shortly after TJ was born.  My plans were just to scrapbook his first year, but after completing my first layout, I was hooked and have been an avid scrapbooker ever since.  Besides taking care of my family and scrapbooking, I am very active in various ministries at my church, and the PTSA at my son’s high school.

I have served on design teams for scrapbook manufacturers, magazines and stores in the past, but several years ago I decided to take a break from “professional” scrapbooking.  After my break, I started a scrapbooking blog, Gemiel’s Gems, and now serve on a couple of design teams.  For me, scrapbooking has become a relaxing hobby.   I love trying new techniques and I really started incorporating stamping in my scrapbooking about a year and a half ago.  Imagine my excitement when I was asked to host the Scrapbooking Challenge here at MFP.  I am so blessed and appreciative for being given this opportunity. I am looking forward to getting to know you all as we share our love for scrapbooking and stamping
